funeral

moving to Eugene about five
vears ago. He will be remem
bered as one of the most prom
inent old time fiddlers in Lane
Countv and was an enthusiastic
participant in all of the Pioneer
naseants held in Eugene. Mr.
Baker was a member of the
Santa Clara Christian Church
and a' charter member of the
Irving Grange. He was also a
member of the Irving I.O.O.F.
lodge for 38 years. He was pre
ceded in death by his wife,
Blanche Deming Baker, in July,
1939 He is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Belva Schrenk
of Creswell and Mrs. Florence
Schrenk of Eugene, seven grand
children and four great-granddaughters.

be held at Poole-Larsen Chapel

next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on a
rezoning application entered- by
C. B. Wright and a proposals to
zone the newly annexed West
Park Homes section of the jcity.
The Wright application -asks
that property located at .-352ft
South Willamette be rezoned from
single-family residential status to
permit its use for neighborhood
commercial purposes. -
The other proposal is a recorrt
mendation of the planning com
mission, itself. If approved, it Will
establish outer residential zoning
regulations in the section west of
City View, between 13th and 18th
Aves. This Is the site of a pro
posed housing development of 500
