Wedding Recent -
CRESWELL Miss Delia La
vaun Denney, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur F." Denney of
Creswell, was married Novem
ber 6 to William Henry Bayless,
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Bay
less of Mill City. The ceremony
took place at the Cottage Grove
Methodist church Saturday
morning. November 6. Rev.
Frank Brown of that church read
the services at ten-thirty o'clock.
The bride wore a green suit,
with brown accessories and a
carnation corsage. .
Miss Betty Denney, her sister,
was bridesmaid, wearing a gold
colored suit with gardenia cor
sage. William Bayless, cousin of
the bridegroom, was best man.
The. church was decorated
with chrysanthemums. Mrs. Cecil
Rhodes, sister of the bride, play
ed the wedding marches.

The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Ben Freeman of Junction
City ' and the bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. How
ard of McMirmville.
Miss Freeman's gown was
complemented by a fingertip
veil of net, fastened by a coro
net of orange blossoms formed
from seed pearls. She carried
pearls which were a gift from
her late father,1 and for tradition
she carried a pearl rosary which
was old, and also a handkerchief
which had belonged to her pa-,
ternal grandmother.
Miss Mary Freeman washer
sister's attendant, gowned in
light blue taffeta. She also car
ried a rosary. Arthur Remming
ton was best man.
The altar of the church was
decorated with chrysanthemums.
Only members of the families
and a few friends were present
for the service. The couple will
be at home at Oregon City fol
lowing a trip to California.

six-fifteen o'clock.
Rooms of the home were
bright with fall flowers, and ar
rangements were placed upon
the mantel.
The bride's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Frederick Carter of
Sunderland, England, whence
she came in May of 1946." She
has no relatives in this country.

trimmed with bronze velvet rib
bon at the hlpliay. She wore
bronze baby chrysanthemums in
her hair, and carried a bouquet
of bronze "mums" and stepha
notis, tied Willi streamers of
brown velvet ribbon.
Attending the bridal pair were
Mr. and Mrs. Karl Jasper. Mrs.
Jasper wove a bolero suit in
black and grey, and a corsage of
white carnations and pink rose
buds. An informal reception in the
home followed the marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell will be at
home at 1293 Pearl Street.
