of Japan and Its 80,000,uuo people,
Until three years ago he be

On his birthday Akahito came
to school as usual. His shirt was
wrinkled and his shoes needed

Five Americans were there to
entertain the crown prince and his
268 schoolmates with an ordinary
magician's show.
Akahito was called to the stage.

'So Sorry'
Says Anti-Red
AGA, Japan (U.n Coal Miner
Ichiro Koga told police Tuesday
he was sorry he failed to kill
Communist Leader JKyulchl To
kuda.
Koga, 21, tossed a home-made
grenade at Tokuda while the latter
was addressing a meeting here
Monday night. Tokuda was taken
to a hospital where his condition
was reported as "pretty good."
"I'm sorry I did not kill him,"
Koga said. "Nobody ordered me to
commit the act. I did it on my own
account because I feel the Com
munist party is obstructing the
real democratization of Japan.
That is why I belong to the Anti-
Communist League."
Koga surrendered to police
shortly after the incident and con
fessed he had thrown the grenade.
J 1)1 news agency said Koga also
planned to assassinate Yoshio
Shiga and other leading Japanese
Communists.
