Youth in Hospital
With Wreck Injuries
Milton Stlason, IS, of Eugene,
was being treated at Eugene HoS'
pital Thursday for injuries re
ceived in a traffic accident at
Eighth Ave. and Polk St. Wed
nesday noon.
City police said Stianson was
riding in an Egges Dairy truck
being driven by Edwin S. Stian
son, 18, when it careened into a
tree. Police blamed deep ruts
on Eighth Ave. W., plus faulty
steering mechanism, for the acci
dent.
Estimated damage to the truck
was $500. Both the driver and
the injured youth live at 1091
Twenty-seventh Ave. w.
Police said the boy suffered
arm and other unknown Injuries,
but his doctor declined to release
the exact extent of his Injuries
