Mrs. Roman Kasper
Mrs. Roman Kasper, 30, Cottage
Grove, died Tuesday. She was a
life-long resident of Cottage
Grove, moving there with her
parents when she was an infant.
She was born Blanche E. Faquette
on May 1, 1917, at Woodburn, and
married Roman Kasper at Cottage
Grove Sept. 3, 1948. She was a
member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are her widower; her
mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Paquette,
Cottage Grove; a sister, Mrs.
Genevieve VanValen, Park Place,
Ore.; and a brother, Julius, Ore
gon City.
Rosary will be said at the Smith
mortuary in Cottage Grove Thurs
day at 7:30 p.m., and services will
be at the Catholic Church Friday
at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Louis
Sohler officiating. Interment will
be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Eugene.
OMS Gets New Bus
Oregon Motor Stages in Eugene
has received a new 31-passcnger
Reo bus, according to T. Mc
Laughlin, local manager. The bus
has been placed in service on the
River Road-Springfield line and
will be a big help in relieving
heavy traffic on this route, Mc
Lougblin said. Another bus of the
same type is expected here In the
near future.
The Eiffel Tower was built for
the exhibition of 1889.
