100 Union High School students to
deliver the new 1946-47 activities
calendar has been made by O. O.

Sabin reports the calendars
have been completed and will be
ready for delivery by 9 a. m.
Wednesday.
The activities calendar is de
signed to outline high school pro
grams for the entire year as far
as they can be determined in ad
vance. It lists each activity by

calendar has been printed rather
than the school-month calendar of
last year. It carries a four-color
picture of the school building,

Fireman Released
From Hospital
SPRINGFIELD Floyd Porter,
Springfield volunteer fireman, re
turned from a Eugene hospital
Wednesday where he has been
receiving treatment for burns re
ceived at the fire July 23, which
destroyed Wright's warehouse at
Sixth and Mam streets.
Porter was seared on both fore
arms by the blaze, He received
out-patient treatment here in
Springfield up to two weeks ago
when he entered the hospital to
have skin grafted over the burns.
Petition Filed
SPRINGFIELD The first nom
inating petition for November
general elections was filed in the
city recorder's office Thursday for
John W. Ashworth, Ward 4.
Recorder K. R. Gile reports no
other petitions have been -filed.
Saturday is the deadline, he
warns, since his office must have
time to certify 'signatures before
forwarding the petitions to the
county clerk.
