William Hillis, 68, of Route 1,
Springfield, died Thursday morn
ing at a local hospital. He was
born in Indiana, January 7, 1875.
He had lived at Coburg since 1921,
moving to Springfield but recent
ly. Surviving are his wife, Julia;
one son, Leonard, of Springfield;
a daughter. Mrs. George Simmons

Mrs. Williams, long socially
prominent in Chicago, died last
night, 25 hours after a mysterious,
middleaged woman, who had
gained entrance to her Drake hotel
apartment, fired a bullet Into her
