The Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday Is .theme for a
! festive week-end following. Three dancing parties are on
tee calendar through Friday and Saturday.
At Country Club
Members of the Eugene Country club are gathering for
an Informal dance at the clubhouse on Friday evening,
ntae-thlrty o'clock, followed by a midnight supper. Music
for the evening is being supplied by Herschel Davis. Mem
bers are asked to make their reservations for the supper by
Thursday evening, telephoning them to the clubhouse.
Aiwmbly Party
On Saturday evening will be held the November dance
of the Assembly club, Osbum hotel, nine-thirty until twelve
toy o'clock.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Garrett, Mr. and Mrs. Darle Sey
mour, and Mr. and Mrs. A. West Johnson are the commit
tee for the evening.

wero Mrs. C. C Hunt, Sr., of Medford and her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Martin and family
of Olympic, Wn., who are all guests of Mr. and Mrs. I P.
Inman. parents of Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. Martin. Mrs. Hunt
has recently returned from Florida where she visited her
husband, CapL C. C. Hunt. Sr.. at Fort Myers, and from
Columbus, Georgia, where she visited h.9r son and daughter-in-law,
Lt and Mrs. Cecil C. Hunt, Jr.
The visitors are here to attend the golden wedding re
ception for the Inmans Monday evening at the First Chris
tian church.
Re-Active club members are arranging their Christmas
party for the evening of Thursday, Dec. 2, dessert at seven
thirty o'clock, home of Mrs. H. F. McDaniel.
Beta Sigma Phi Is not meeting this Monday, but on Nov.
29, at the home of Mrs. Delbert V. Hill, Miss Clarice Krle

Newcomers' division, University of Oregon Women's
Faculty club, has arranged its November meeting for Mon-'
day afternoon.
A tour of the university art museum is planned, all
members being.asked to be at the main entrance of the
museum at three-thirty o'clock.
' Later, a tea will be served In Gerllnger hall. On the tea
committee are Mrs. W. R. Baker, Mrs. R. D. Clark, Mrs. R.
G. Davis, Mrs. P. A. Killgallon. A nursery ls to be main
tained for small children at the Gerllnger hall.
This week-end marked the final big social period for
the University of Oregon students, next week-end bringing
the Thanksgiving holidays, followed by closed -week-ends
and examinations. Saturday was marked by many dances.
Alder lodge was among groups entertaining, patrons
for the dance including Mrs. Thomas S. Wells, Mrs. H. L,
Robinson, Mrs. Dudley Holland, Mr. and Mrs. George Hop
kins. University house also entertained at a dance, the pat
rons Including Mrs. H. B. Fenton, Dr. and Mrs. P. A. Killgal

PI Beta Phi sorority Invited as patrons for its dance,

For the Casablanca house dance, Mrs. Cora Hagedom,

GROUP WORKS TO AID HOSPITAL PROJECT ,
Members of the Welfa.e League have taken over the lob of securing five hundred gifts for the
Camp Adair hospital from Lane county citizens and groups, a project in charge of the Lane
County Red Cross. Here are members of the Welfare League committee on the project at

Several more individual donors to the scholarship fund
being raised by the University of Oregon Mother's club,
Eugene unit, are announced this week-end by Mrs. Herbert
M. Roome and Mrs. L. C. Scharpf, who are co-chairmen for
this project for the local mothers. The scholarships are
given annually to worthy students from all parts of Oregon
by the mothers clubs throughout the state. The additional
list of contributors this week-end follows:

Red Cross, who has been in San Francisco the past
three weeks attending a regional training course for
