Three exchanges of farms on the
Halsey-Brownsville road is quite
a real estate boom for this vicin
ity. H. L. Straley has purchased the
Rosa Davis farm. Mr. Straley sold
his farm west of the Davis farm
earlier to Prof. Kenneth Vanlce of
Harrisburg, who will move to It
next summer. Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Davis and ion Merle will move to
Portland to make their home near
their two married daughters and
sisters respectively. Stephen Smith
recently bought the Henrietta Da
vis farm between the two prev
iously mentioned. He and his bro
ther Ralph Smith are making con
aiderable improvements about the
buildings and fence rows this win
ter.

have returned to their homes after
their trip through the middle m

remodeling and building to their

Mrs. Lena Veatch is district dep
uty president and will be assisted
by several other past noble grands
with the ceremonies. Officers to
be installed are Mrs. Beulah
Koontz, noble grand; Mrs. Dorothy
Leeper, vice grand; Mrs. Grace
Sickels, secretary; and B. M. Bond,
treasurer. Appointive officers will
be announced the evening of the
installation. Mrs. Alberta Cross is
the outgoing noble grand after a
year of service. The outgoing of
