Easter Rabbit Pays
Early Visit Here
SPRINGFIELD, March 22.
(Special) The Easter bunny paid
an early visit in Springfield this
week for children of Eastern Star
and Masonic'members.
The O. E. S. entertained a group
of 20 youngsters in the lodge hall
at a party and dinner. During the
course of the evening, an Easter
egg hunt was held, and little bas
kets in which to put the eggs were
dinner favors.
The party is an annual affair of
the Eastern Star.

Plywood Water Main
Completed This Week
SPRINGFIELD, March 22.
(Special) Construction on a
water main to the Springfield Ply
wood plant has been completed
this week by the Mountain States
Power company, it was announced
by W. K. Barnell, local manager.
The four-inch main Is approx
imately 1,200 feet in length, and
is for the use of the new industry.
A fire hydrant was ordered by the
city and installed at the south end
of Fourteenth street.
PLANS BEING MADE
SPRINGFIELD, March 22.
(Special) Plans for the annual
junior prom at the Springfield high
school are being made, it has been
announced by members of the
class. The affair is scheduled for
April 12, and the theme is to be a
surprise. The decoration commit
tee met recently at the home of
Peggy Wright completing details of
these plans.
LOWERY ELECTED
SPRINGFIELD, March 22.
(Special) Glenn Lowery was
elected president of the Resident
Workers of Springfield at their
regular meeting Tuesday night,
and took the place of H. E. En
right, former president, who re
signed because of lack of time to
give to the office. About 200 mem
bers attended. The next meeting
is to be held Tuesday at 7:30,
o'clock. Following the regular
business meeting, an entertain
ment will be held and refresh
