Ralph Windom,. about 50, of
Brownsville, died suddenly Mon
day afternoon while driving his
car just south of Shcdtl on the Pa
cific highway. A man who was
riding witli him, kept the car on
the road after the driver collapsed.
Windom is survived by his aged
mother with whom he made his
home.

John Edward Anderson was ar
rested by state police Tuesday on
a warrant issued in Wasco county
charging him with obtaining
money by false pretenses. An of
ficer was expected to arrive later
