Class Play Set
Friday, Saturday
"The Black Flamingo," an his
torical play dealing with the per
iod of the French revolution, will
be presented by the senior class
of the Eugene high school at the
school auditorium Friday and Sat
urday, March 24-25, at 8 p. m., it
was announced Tuesday.
Despite a recently fractured
t kul!. Frank Loomis, who was cast
as Felipe Bodier, the lead of the
play, will play th part, it was
announced by Mrs. Ethel Chase
Christie, director of the play.
Loomis was injured in a fall from
a bicycle recently and was in the
hospital for some time.
Tom Warlick is cast in the part
of the inn keeper at the "Black
Flamingo" which was located on a
road near Paris and to which came
aristocrats, petty thieves and oth
ers after the revolution.
The action of the play occurs
on the day after the fall of the
Bastile.
A miniature set, representing the
scene of the play, has been made
by the stage crew and is on dis
play in a window at Washburne's,
it was announced.
Furniture and other "props" for
the play have been made by stu
dents in keeping with the period of
the play.
