cial) The Ergathea class and
Women's Bible class of the Spring
field Baptist church were enter
tained Thursday afternoon at the
home of Mrs. Eugene McElhaney.
Thirty-five attended.
Following a one o'clock lunch
eon, there was a business and so
cial meeting and group singing,
accompanied at the piano by Mrs.
John Radmore, Each member re
sponded to the roll call with an
item pertaining to Thanksgiving,
Speakers were Mrs. Roy Palmer,
Ergathea teacher, Mrs. R. L. Drury,
Mrs. Ida Wooley, and Mrs. F. B.
Whitney, who talked about trips
from which they all have recently
returned. Rev, and Mrs. J. D, Mc
Cormick were guests of honor.
The group decided to send a
"cheer" basket to Mrs. Viola Staun,
class mother. Several shut-ins
were cited to whom cards and
flowers will be sent. The next
meeting of the group will be a
Christmas party and gift exchange
to be held December 15 at the home
of Mrs. E. G. Privat, Mrs. Ida Hol
verson, assistant hostess.
MASONS TO MEET
SPRINGFIELD, Nov. 20. (Spe
cial) Liberty lodge, No. 171, A.F.
and A. M., will hold a regular
meeting Tuesday night at 7:30 in
the Masonic temple. There will be
work in the Master Masons degree.
