Crow The Home Economics club

complete final arrangements and
preparations for the Lane Pomona
grange meeting to be held nt Crow
next Saturday. The day and evening
sessions will be held in the high school
gymnasium. Tbe noon and evening
banquets will be served In tbi grange
tall. Grangers are asked to bring
basket lunch for two meals. Crow
grange to furnish coffee and cream,
and potatoes.
Crow grange was host to HI mem
bers of tbe Irving grange the past
Wednesday, the visit being made as
a part of the regular visitation sched
ule being maintained through the mid
winter by all the granges o'f the
county, Irving officers gave the seat
ing drill and tbe lecturer's program.
Tour Oaks Four Oaks grange will
meet in regular session Friday night,
February 20, with a potluck supper

gram, which will consist of the fol

The Four Oaks Home Economic
club held an all day meeting at the
home of Mrs. King last Wednesday,
and spent most of the day sewing for
charity. The members decided to meet
March 1 at the home of Mrs. Ben
mith and finish the quilt, each to
bring her own lunch.
There wil be an all day llome
furnishing meeting February 24 at the
home of Mrs. Doty. Those attending
ore asked to be there by 10 a. m.
Each lady is asked to bring one of the
following: snlnd, sandwiches, hot dish,
cr dessert. Miss Lois Lutr will pre
side at this meeting.

ladies are to clean the hall and the

The Goshen H. E. club met with
Mrs. L. D. Gnrmirc of Pleasant Hill
Thursday, This was an nll-dny meet
ing and the time was spent quilting
for the hostess. There were ten mem
bers present.
The H. E. club is sponsoring a bas
ket social and free entertainment nt
the Goshen hall March 10. Part of the
program will be put on by a group of
entertainers from the Irish Btores of
Eugene. They will also make and
serve the coffee that evening. The
public is invited to attend.
About 30 members from the Go
shen grnnge visited Spencer Creek
grange Thursday evening, putting on
the seating drill also tbe program.
Spencer Creek grange Is one of the
new granges but very active.

Mr. and Mrs. W, P, Lower, old time

Sir. and Sirs. Lower were born in
August and November respectively of
the year ia Walnut Grove, Iowa.
They spent their childhood dayt to
gether and attended the same schools.
They were married In 1S7T and came
to CreaweU ten years biter and have
since made their home In thia com
munity. Ten children were born to
them, A daughter, Mra. Gertrude Ol

Mr. Lower operated a blacksmith

town where he has lived since. Aside
from lameness caused by an injury of
some years ago. Sir. Lower is hale
ami hearty. Mra. Lower has been con
f inetl to her home for a number of
years but was able to spend a very
happy anniversary.
