leader at the Resesrch club Tuesday
night at city hall, having as her topic.
"Sioux Indians and Habits." Mrs.
Schrenk exhibited a collection of Sioux
relics that she had collected in the
Sioux territory. Mrs. Schrenk presid
ed at the meeting in the absence of the
president.
The Elmartes club scheduled to
hare a birthday party and dance Tues
day night at Eagles hall, postponed
the meeting on account of sickness in
town and cold weather.
Wilbur Spray, service and mainte
nance man at the Mountain States
Power company local office for sev
eral years has been transferred to the
Albany office and expects to more to
bis new place of business soon. Mr.
Spray has been with the company here
almost 14 years and will be in the su
perintendent's office at Albany. Wal
ter Smith with take Mr. Spray's place
at the local office.
M. P. G. Club Meets
Mrs. Harold Axlcy entertained the
M. P.. G. club nt her home Tuesday
with a one-thirty dessert. The after
noon was spent with needlework and
social converse. The group will have
its next meeting with Mrs. Charles
Beldler.
Ross Robinson of San Francisco
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Horace
Harms came the last of the week and
were guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Oscsr Woodson. Mrs. Harms is a
sister of Mrs. Woodson and Mr. Rob
inson is a nephew. Mr. and Mrs.
Harms went on to their home at
Portland and Mrs. Robinson will re
main for a longer visit. Miss Mnry
Robinson of Baker, niece of Mrs.
Woodson is also a guest at the Wood
son home.

out Wednesday afternoon at the John
Durham home but Mr. Durham had
aucceeded in extinguishing the fire be

vice-president: Mrs. Cnrrothcrs, sec
retary; Mrs. Bessie Diets, trensurer.
Birthday anniversaries of three of the
members of the society were observed
by a bsndkerchief shower for esch.

Mrs. Msry Strome, Mrs. W. 0. Evsns,
It was decided by the society to ob
serve their annual Washington Hat
chet part;1 on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
This will be a silver tea open to the

Brotherhood Meets
Tuesday evening was a social meet
ing for the Danish Brotherhood. Pro
gressive 500 was played with six tab
les in ploy. Mrs. H. C. Hanson won
high for the ladies and Mrs. Holm
green low. For the men Martin Fed
erson was high and Ted Jensen low.
Coffee was served and a splendid soc
ial time was reported.
