he has employment.

a new dock in Leona and expects
steady operation of the sawmill on

Robert Bridges who has been vis

turn borne In Eugene when school
starts in September.
Miss Alice Woolley returned home

granddaughter, Mrs. Lloyd Bridges

Raymond Coffman who has been

family in Portland, returned to his
grandmother's home In Leona, Mon-

some business matters, and visiting

Orville Cnssidy returned home the
first of the week from an extended
visit In Southern California, where
his son Harold and family lire.

The Mumpower brothers have fin
ished threshing their groin and re
port a fine yield, about a 25 per cent
increase over the usual crop.
Eldon Thompson and fnmily have
moved from Leona to the Thomas
ranch near Anlnuf.
Mr. nnd Mrs. Ben Beatty and three
little daughters of Marcola and Mrs.
Beattv'a father. Monroe Miller, were
in Drain and Leona Sunday calling on
friends and relatives. They were lor-
mer Leona residents.
Mr. and Sirs. Joe Lnnnahan (for
mer Leonnites) were celling on friends
in Leona Sunday. Thoy are planning
on purchasing a house and lot in
Drain.
The Thiel thresher of Toncalln, was
in Leona the first of this week, be
ginning at the Pearson ranch Monday
nnd nn to the Green ranch Tuesday.
They expect to finish this settlement
this week.
