Kugeno horseshoe team won from
the Thurston tossers on Ktigcne
courts, ten games to Thurston's six,
in a four man round robin Sunday
aiternoon. J hurston plnyers were
J. B. Beats, Bay Bnugh, Hary Baugh
and A. Menig. Kugeno players were
J, Lamer, Bill flerlack, Campbell and
Kills. When tho first two rounds
were played it stood four games each

Liles for Kllis, Kugeno then took
the lend. The closest game of the
match waa between Larmer of Ku-
gene and R. Baugh of Thurston,
which was a see-saw game nil the
way through. Lnrmer got 4! to
Bnugh's 40 and threw a ringer with
one against the stake. Baugh put on
a double ringer, tying the score if
all, then won with a ringer and a
close one.
Virgil Hansen came home Tuesday
from Portland where he had been
visiting and attending the Rose Show
since the close of the spring term of
O. S. C. .Mr. Hansen plans to he nt
home during the summer.

farmers are undecided as to whether

time as considerable hay is down or
ready to be cut in that vicinity while
