CHICAGO. Dec. 21. Wt
nor buying in the corn futures mar
ket than has recently been witnessed
led to late advances of corn prices
today, and helped to rally wheat.
Demand for corn futures was due
more or less to the fact that prices
had broken about 8 cents a bushel
from the recent high point. There
jvns some talk that in view of lack
of subsoil moisture in the spring
wheat area, the nsRreuatc crop of
all wheat for 11135 inicht turn out
below normal domestic requirements.

PORTLAND, Dec. 21. OP) While
there were no official price changes
in eggs today, there appeared more
or less cutting. Card prices were be
ing ignored, not only here but at Eu
gene and oilier points.
Weaker tone was again suggested
for butter here !ut the code prohibits
lower prices until officially named by
the produce exchange.
Market for chicken was weak and
live fowls were dragging with consid
erable stock unsold on dealers' floors.
Prices were in spots a trifle down
again.
Good quality dressed geese were
finding favor here but the market was
low on poor stuff. Good quality
dressed ducks were also in favor with
prices maintained generally. Capons
were firmly priced.
Both veal nnd lambs were showing
slight price betterment at the week
end. Hogs and beef were without
further change.
