Vogt, Jr., right, who are students
of the Santa Clara high school,
have never been absent or tardy
since they started to school In the
first grade In Eugene. They are
sons of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Vogt,
who live three miles below Santa
Clara, off the highway about half
a mile. The boys started In the
first grade at Geary school In
Eugene while the family lived In
the city, and completed the
grades there and at Woodrow
Wilson school. When the family
moved to the farm they entered
the high school at Santa Clara.
Edward Is 16 and will be a Junior
next year, while Alfred is 14 and
will be a sophomore. Although
they have to go three miles to
school at Santa Clara, their per
fect record of attendance main
talned while In Eugene has been
continued in the rural school.

election of directors to the one-year
and four-vear offices. For the longer

Miller was pledged to the Rho Chi
pharmacy honorary fraternity this
spring and just received word be wss
accepted as one of the four out of
twelve applications into the medical
school at Portland.

Utopia club Thursday afternoon for
their last regular meeting of the sea
son. A feature of the afternoon was
complimenting the birthday anniver
saries of Mrs. F. L. GraniUs. Mrs. H.
B. Griggs. Mrs. J. A. Wiseman, Mrs.
Nelson Durham whose birthdays oc
cur in July and August and Mrs. 8.
L. Mackin whose birthday was In
April. A birthday cake with lighted
candles and cards were attractive and
the luncheon table was centered with
a bowl of sweet peas. The afternoon
was spent. In needlework. Mrs. Frank
Wilson of Seattle, house guest of her
daughter. Mrs. F. L. Grannie, was a
special guest of the club. Corsages
were presented the birthday guests
of honor.

tained wives of members Monday eve
ning at Phullips hall. Dancing and
cards formed the program and re
freshments were served. At the busi
ness meeting of the bnnd, a repre

ber of commerce and Lions club, each

$15 for the purpose of purchasing
new equipment.
