Sold at Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE. May 21. (Spe
cial The city council last night sold
to Rlytb & Co.. S27.00O worth of re
funding bonds at par. bearing sir per
cent. There were no other bids.
About September 1 the citv will
have $iri.l(HI more bonds to sell to
refund the Bancroft bonds outstand
ing. The sum of hns been appro
priated for the improvement of the
city park in anticipation of the pic
nic season. New rest rooms will be
built and the grounds cleared of

for June 17. 18 and 10.

for the high school graduating class
in the liigli school auditorium Sunday
morning at 11. The hall was beauti

The Siuslaw Rod and Gun club,
sportsmen's organization of this sec
tion, was host Sunday afternoon at
the annual outdoor feed on the
shores of Munscll lake, north of
town. This year a big lot of veal
was roasted tor the stag affair. I
which is annually given to all mem- i
bers of the club, bringing those who '
may not happen to reside close at ''
hand, persons who may become mem
bers of the club, and others who are
invited.
