Complains of
Russian Treaty
CHUNGKING, Feb. 20-C-The
Hina Times declared today Pre
mier T. V. Soong had signed a
treaty with Russia "jmcrif icing
Manchuria" at a time when Japan
was betng crushed without soviet
help.
The Times! Joined the swelling
criticism of Russian occupation of
Manchuria as the government was
reported drafting a reply to as
serted soviet demands for a share
of Japanese industry in the for
mer pmpet state.
The Ttiwd aid the Sino-Rur-sian
treaty of List August was
negotiated when Japan's surren
der was imminent arid China had
no reason to bow to the big three
decisions in Yalta in Feb., 1945,
which, it asserted, violated Chin
es sovereignty and the Cairo
i ;agremerit to restore Manchuria
to China.
Ho Feng-Shan, foreign office
spokesmMn, replied to a barrage
of questions on Manchuria at a
pre conference by saying that
China wat bound by the Jtusian
treaty ffot the Yalta agree
ment He did not elaborate.
Chinese lresa dispatches said
government troops had recaptur
ed Sidshuihotze, 43 miles north
west of Mukden, from communist
forces. The Manchurian Guild
said fighting had broken out near
the communist-occupied port of
Yingkow, in southern Manchuria.

to remind you that older people
love too. - - We in the older age
