Weavers Will Meet Mrs. R. D. Harvey, Mrs. Brey man Boise and Mn. 0. E. Thomp aon will entertain the Salem Weavers Guild" at the home of Mrs. Harvey, 675 West Salem Heights Avenue, Wednesday, May 7 at 2 p.m. The program will include a dis cussion on rug weaving and a new book "Rug . Woodmansee, who had just had word that the Charles Heltzels and their four children will be arriving on June 6 for a three weeks visit-. . . their many Salem friends will roll out the welcome mat for the popu lar family as it will be a year since they left . . . Angel Silverton, Stayton, Dallas and other nearby towns calling to greet Mrs. Bartlett, who pinned a lovely lavender orchid to her blue gown. Others receiving . . . Myers were hosts for their traditional at home at their charming country place, Terrace Farm, at Eola . . . each year the Myers invite their friends to drive out to the country to view the blossoms and their garden, which was ablaze with color this year . . . a majority of the azaleas, rhododendrons in bloom and the beautiful flowering cherry a pic ture with a solid mass of pink blossoms ... a lovely panoramic view of the valley from the upper balcony and many going outside with their coffee cups to enjoy the scenery. . . . Church Groups Plan Meetings SILVERTON - Trinity Guild meets Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m. in the church social rooms. Bible study will center around "Hannah the Prayerful Mother," given by Mrs. Sheldon Knutson. Program chairman is Mrs. William Schwarz, with Mrs. Chester Berg erson and Mrs. wuiiam Biocn as hospitality chairmen. Hostesses will be Mrs. John Kloster, Mrs. Carl Johnson, Mrs. Hans Viegland. Immanuel Lutheran Church- circle meetings for next week are announced to include Martha Circle Monday, 8 p.m. at the home of Miss Hannah Olson, with Mrs James Hollingswort as co-hostess;jf and Mrs. timer Johnson and Mrs. E. R. Ekman on the program; Ruth Circle meets Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the home of Mrs. H. B. Jorgenson with Mrs. Clarence Sun det as assistant hostess, Mrs. Carl Hande Sr., and Mrs. Harold Sat ern, furnishing the program. Esther Circle will also meet in the Fire side room, Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Oliver Becken and Mrs. Roy Rieder, the hostesses and Mrs. John Olafson devotions chair man and Mrs. Gerald Amundson, Bible Study leader. The annual Mother - Daughter banquet at Immanual Church will be May 9 at 6:30 p.m., with the Trinity Church banquet the same night at its church. Committees For Dinner Named AMITY Plans for a jitney din ner have been announced by the Three Links Club. The dinner, scheduled for May 24, will be held in the IOOF dining room with pro ceeds designated for the kitchen redecoration fund. Committees in charge of the oc casion, as announced by Hazle Gibbs, Three Links president, are: food preparation, Phoebe Osborne, Ella Weston, Rose Wood, Gertie, Richter, and Cordia Morrison; table setting and decoration, Ethel Lawson, Orpah Glandon, Elma Na son, Elona Wood, and Hazle Gibbs; coffee, Ralph Wood, Art Glandon, and Russell Lawson. Plans for the annual Mother's Day observance were discussed. The program will be held in the IOOF hall on May 28 and will be under the direction of John Gibbs. III)-19 Dinner Fetes Two The Federated Music foubs of Salem honored Herbert Renison and Mrs. Mary Craig at a dinner Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Genevieve Mickenham, chairman of the annual Spring Music Fes tival held in Salem this week. Mr. Renison was adjudicator of the pi ano section and Mrs. Craig is state president of the Oregon Federa tion of Music Clubs. The Lancaster Home Extensioa Unit installed Mrs. Rose Bosztich as chairman for the ensuing year at Friday's meeting held at the home of Mrs. Fred Birch. Mrs. V. A. Simpson is the new vice chairman.
