Unite Couple
JUlatives and friends of Mrs.
Lora Berghammer, formerly of
Salem and North Bend and now
of Eugene, will be interested to
leant of her marriage to Frank
WitUtruck of Eugene on February
I. The ceremony took place in Sa
lem at the home of the bride's
ister and brother-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. S. T. Eastburn, on Ratcliff
Drive.
The Rev. Harold Lyman of the
Court Street Christian Church per
formed the rites. Mr. and Mrs.
Eastburn attended the couple. Only
members of the immediate family
and a few intimate friends wit
nessed the exchange of vows.
The bride wore a blue two-piece
ensemble and white hat trimmed
In sequins and pearls. She pinned
an orchid to her gown.
A reception was held at the
Eastburn home following the nup
tials. Mrs. Vineta Drurv of Eu
gene cut the cake and Mrs. Frank
Batchelor of Grants Pass and Mrs.
Eastburn poured.
Mr. and Mrs. Wittstruck are
now at home in Eugene at 307
East 14th St.
Band To Present
Concert Sunday
The Willamette University band
will present its annual tour-end
concert Sunday at I p.m. in Wil
lamette Fine Arts auditorium. The
55 musicians and their director.
Maurice Brennen. returned from a
week-long tour of northwestern and
coastal Oregon last Friday.
The varied program will include
both popular and classical music
Featured will be Antonine's "The
Great City;" a horn quartet. "The
Four Horsemen" and several solo
numbers with tenor Herb Brower.
The program will also include se
lections from the Rodeers and
Hammerstein musical "The King
and I." Osser's Beguine for Band'"
and such marches as "Charter
Oak" and "Ides of March."
There will be no admission
charge for the concert.

luncheon and an afternoon of sew

tess. Mrs. Maude Wise visited Mrs.
Delia Wise and family at Yoncal

On Sunday
More than a hundred persons at

burn Nursing Home in Woodburn
Sunday afternoon. Highlight of the

Kulzer, long-time resident of that
area. She presided at the buffet
table which was decorated in red
and white. Mrs. Marceil Looney.

Mrs. Looney, who also owns the
Lansing Nursing Home in Salem,
entertained her nurses later in the

gon. She chose this occasion to an
nounce her engagement to Elmer
Lewis Kister of British Columbia.
Mr. Kister is retired and the
couple will honeymoon in Mexico
City and Hawaii and will make
their future home in British Columbia.

Delta Kappa met Monday night at
the home of Mrs. Bessie Forsythe.
New members were initiated and
the group voted to contribute to
the heart fund. The program in
cluded colored slides of Europe.

Mr. Haddon is employed by the
Bell Telephone Company in Salem.
