man interviews were held at
Oregon State on Saturday, Feb
ruary u, in in Memorial union.
Selected as school chairman for
the session were Mary Clark from
South Salem, and Dick Buchanan,
graduate of North Salem. Among
the many that they scheduled for
Interviews with the visiting high
school administrators were Brenda
Aschenbrenner. Marilyn Zeller
Cynthia Chase, Judson Smith,
Gert McAllister, Roger Ayres, Don
' Peters, Chuck Hammerstad, Dick
Gabriel, Margie Anderson, Margo
Hudkins, Joan Osko, Marilyn Mur
phy, and Claudia Peterson, South
Salem graduates. Also scheduled
for interviews were Jo Wilson,
BiD Hansen, Steve Jackson, Rex
Simms, Judy Seamster, Donna
Hammond. Bob Russell, Bob Rich
ardson, Don Hunt, Pat Jones, Tom
Myers. Ralph Morgan, Vernon
Walt, and Gary Smith, of North
Salem.

properties for the Associated inde
pendent Student's presentation of
"The King and I to be given on
May I and J during Mother's
Weekend. Mary Kay- Voigt,
graduate from Salem High School,
has been cast in the lead part
for "The Four Poster", speech
department play scheduled for
presentation on March M.

Because of their high scholar
ship, three Salem-area freshmen
have been elected to membership
in Phi Eta Sigma, the men's na
tional freshman scholastic hon
orary. Making a 3.5 or.aborej
which U the qualification for mem
bership, were Terry Copley of
Salem, Kenneth Mara of Rickreall,
and Russell Miller of Dallas. Also
selected for membership in an
honorary is Marilyn KurU, recent
initiate of Lambda Kappa Sigma,
the women's pharmacy honorary

A new group of 5th grade Camp
Fire Girls, of Hoover School was
started recently at the home of
Mrs. R. A. Harlan by the ,0-Ki-Hi
6th graders of Englewood.
The O-Ki-Hl group, with Mfi.
Virgil Pade as guardian, will earn
the Golden Jubilee charm upon
receipt of a charter by the new
