(Statesman Photo) Boy Placed On Probation For Threats A 12-year-old Salem boy wu placed on probation Tuesday by Marion County Juvenile Court on charges concerning obscene and threatening letters and phone calls made to a Salem family. He was one of four charged in the matter. The boys, two 14 and two 12, nade the threats as a prank, and didn't even know the family, said Juvenile counselors. None has pre vious delinquency problems. The other three boys are to appear for further hearings next Tuesday. Dennis Lerea Randolph, 17, of Longview, Wash., was certified to Marion County District Court in Juvenile court action Tuesday. He was involved with two 18-year-old Longview boys arrested Monday by state police on charges of stealing a radiator and car battery from a Hubbard home. Randolph pleaded guilty in dis trict court to a charge of larceny He was given a 30-day suspended Jail sentence by Judge E. O. Stad ter Jr. The 16-year-olds were re ferred to Washington authorities.
