school, with all girls wearing tags

were colored to indicate the girl

SUBLIMITY, Sept. 20 - Father
Martin Senko of St. Boniface High
School said last night's rally fire
which seriously burned a gradu
ate of Cascade Union High, re
sulted from a raid.
Father Senko said Gary Downer,
graduate and all - around athletic
star last year at Cascade, and
two St. Boniface graduates, touch
ed off the rally fire prematurely.
St. Boniface students were uptown
holding a rally at the time, plan
ning to set fire to the collected
pile of trash later in the evening.
Six St. Boniface students were
left to guard the debris when sur
prised by the three raiders in a
car
Downer tossed gasoline onto the
pile, said Father Senko. and a
companion tossed a lighted match
before Downer dropped the can
The Cascade graduate was seri
ously burned from the waist up.

Memorial Hospital in Stayton
Also treated for minor burns was
St Boniface High student Michael
Hendricks, one of the six left
guarding the material. He was
kept overnight in the hospital.
Father Senko said the three
raiders were not connected In any
way with Cascade Union High
School

ment and automobile dealers. The
Woodburn National Guard will pa
rade some of its equipment and
several old -time steam threshing
machines will be included.
The kiddies' section will consist
of prizes for the best costumed
couple, best costumed girl and
boy, best decorated girl's and
boy's bicycles and tricycles, and
best clown. There will also be an
award for best entry in the mis
cellaneous and pets division.
The parade wiH form at Lincoln
School at 1 p.m. where judging
will take place at 130.
