Dr. and Mrs. Vern Wayne Miller. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Layton K.
Nosier of Eugene. The ceremony took place at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with a recep

MisS Sullivan Becomes
Bride of Donald Hopkins
' Miss Rote Carolyn Sullivan, daughter of Mrs. W. J. Sullivan of St.
Helens, and Donald Lee Hopkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Hopkins,
became bride and groom at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Saturday
morning, August 3.
The Rev. Joseph E: Vanderbeck read the vows and Mrs. Raymond
Barton was at the console of the organ. Mrs. Charles Nelke and Peter
Wright sang duets
Dr. John R. Sullivan of Salinas,
Caif., bother of the bride, gave her
in marriage, and the bride's sister,
Miss Marguerite Sullivan, was her
only attendant
Of white silk taffeta, the bride's
gown was fashioned with a bodice
of French Rosepoint lace encrusted
with seed pearls and had a bal
lerina length skirt. The fingerti
tenth veil was attached to a cap
of lace and seed pearls, and the
bride carried a white prayer book
topped with a white orchid and
cascades of stephanotis.
The maid of honor wore a lav
ender-blue silk gown with while
lace and a floral headdress match
ing her cascade bouquet of white
daisy crysanthemums.
Jack R. Hopkins, brother of the
groom, was best man. L'shers
were Howard J. Sullivan, brother
of the bride from San Diego, and
W. A. Mitchell of Portland
A dusty rose crepe gown with
corsage of rubrum lilies was worn
by the mother of the bride, and
Mrs. Hopkins wore pale pink chif
fon with a rubrum lily corsage.
St. Joseph's rectory was the
scene of the reception. Pouring
were Mrs. John R. Sullivan and
Mrs Jack R. Hopkins. Mrs. Clar
ence A. Gamst cut the cake and
assisting were Mrs W. A. Mit
chell, Miss Judith Mitchell and
Picnic Given for

Mr. and Mrs Henry Myers are
entertaining their niece, Mrs. Mar
tha Dorchel of Oakland She will
remain until August IS. They were
hosts at a picnic at Silver Falls
Park in her honor Thursday.
