oil exploration mapa was sen
tenced to prison today on another
charge attempted extortion of
1535,000 from the late financier
gorge Rubinstein to 1954.
Emanuel Lester, 32, was or
dered by General Sessiona Judge
Mitchell D. Schweitzer to serve

Stence was suspended on two
other charges on which he was
convicted, conspiracy and co
ercion. Rubinstein, a draft dodger, was
found strangled In his Fifth Ave
nue borne Jan. 27, 1951 The mur

called a "legitimate debt."

with transporting stolen property
across state lines.
The maps, showing locations of
oil deposits, were valued at more
than a million dollars.
