WASHINGTON. Nov. 21 lav-Sen..
Morse iD-Orei today called for an
interim report on a Senate Armed
Service - subcommittee invents

to a Japanese munitions firm.
Mors, made the demand after
an American attorney in Tokyo,
Richard A. Tullis, said that the
Army had "toned down and white
washed" an investigation under
an assumption that Morse would
be beaten in the- Nov ember elec

the Tullis accusations.
Tullis filed a $21,400,000 damage
suit ajainst the Komalsu Manu
facturing Co. Ltd. of Tokyo in the
U.S. District Court of New York
last week.
His action, called an "informer's
suit," comes under a section of
American law that provides that
if the United States government
itself decides to prosecute the
case, the court can award up to
10 per cent of any judsment for
the. di3clM.urh-f--vlifpif(!(i hot in
the possession of the government.
If Tullis prosecutes the case him
self without Darticipation of the
government, the court can award
up to 23 per cent of the judgment.
Morse's office said that in view
of the filing of this action, the
Senator is asking the Prepared
ness Investigation subcommittee
of the Senate Armed Services
Committee to provide an interim
report of any investigations it has
made into the case.
Morse referred the matter to
the subcommittee, headed by Sen.
