day in the Colonial Room of the
Marion Hotel. The guest speaker
will be Allan L. Stevens, one of the
three .certified gemologists in Ore
gon, who will discuss "Gems."

To Work on Afghans
Mrs. Irl Folsom, hospital and re
habilitation chairman for King
wood Unit, American Legion Aux
iliary has invited all auxiliary
members of her unit to meet at
her home on Monday, Veterans
Day to work on afghans for the
Veterans Hospital. It will be" an
all day affair beginning at 10:30
a.m., and membert are asked to
bring a tack lunch. Coffee will be
furnished by the hostess.
City Needs to Be Discussed

meet November 12 at the Salem
Woman's Club. This will be a
meeting with the community serv
ice department reporting on "City
Needs", with group discussions to
determine Salem Juniors projects.
