Kathleen Hauth Becomes Bride
A Nuptial Mass at St. Mary's

Kathleen Hauth, daughter of Mr. Wendel Hauth and the late Mr.
Hauth of ML Angel, and William Soderberf of Oswego.
The Rev. Edward Spear, OSB, officiated at tht 10.30 o'clock
nuptial high mass. Miss Helen Keber was at tht organ and St

The bride. In satin and lace,
was escorted by her brother,
Fred Hauth. The dress was fash
ioned with a basque lace bodice
with high, pointed collar and long
sleeves ana a full satin skirt, em
bellished with two narrow lace
bands in front and a wide panel
of lace in back that extended to;
the edge of the train. Her finger
tip veil was held by a crown of
seed pearls and she carried a
cascade bouquet of red roses and
stephanotis. . l j
Preceding the bride were four
ittendants, wearing ballerina
dresses of erystallette, the honor
attendant in soft blue, the others
wearing a shade darker. They
wore brief veila matching their
gowns and carried nosegays of
chrysanthemum in mixed colors.
Sisters Attend Bride
Matron of honor for her sister
was Mrs. Stan Ferrell (Rose
Hauth) of Dayton and a younger
lister, Miss Marguerite Hauth.

Woodburn were bridesmaids. The
lunior bridesmaid was Shirley
Deal of Rainier, niece of the
bride.

stood with his brother as best
man and groomsmen were George
Grill, Oswego, and Wesley Rob
inson, Portland. The ushers were
Donald Hauth, brother of the
bride, and Robert , Ocha, Port
land. Mrs. Hauth was attired in
navy suit and hat and pink ac
cessories for her daughter's wed
ding. Mrs. Soderberg chose a
black suit and white accessories
for the nuptials. Their corsages
were lavender orchids. .
The reception and luncheon
followed in the dining halls of
St Mary's school. Mrs. Charles
Deal of Rainier, sister of the
bride, cut the cake and Mrs. Law
rence McClure of Saem poured.
Kay Deal, niece of the bride,
passed the guest book, and Miss
Marlene DiehL - cousin' of the
bride, and Miss Arlene Dammer.

were Misses Virginia and Stella
Rauth, Kay Carol Kleinschmidt,
Mary Lou Schmalts and Mary

Mr. and Mrs. Soderberf will
make their home in Portland,

cottage in Champoeg State Park.
She gave a report of the Conti
nental Congress which she attended
in Washington, D.C. and also out
lined the DAR's activities for the

son, a paduate of South' Salem

Sr. of Salem. Pfc. Bleckert, who
attended Salem High School -and
Willamette University prior to
entering ths service, is the soa of
Oscar Bleckert of Salem.
The ceremony will take place at
St Joseph's ' Church at eleven
o'clock with the Rev; James Har
ris officiating. . Duane, Heuberger
and Joseph Dougherty will be the
vocalists and Mrs. Raymond Bar
ton will be the organist
Miss Hendrickson has asked
Miss Bettie Snook of Salem to be
her maid of honor. Bridesmaids
will be Mis Donna Meyer, Miss
Connie Thorne, Miss Linda Bleck
ert, sister of the groom, Miss
Margaret Reid and Miss Darlene
Savage, all of Salem. Janel Rex
will be ber cousin's flower girl and
Steven Hendrickson, nephew of
the bride-elect, will serve at ring
bearer. Jerry Glllming will serve as
best man for Pfc. Bleckert and the
ushers include Peter Meier, James
Bowers, Lawrence Buchner, Rod
Hendrickson. Emery Hendrickson
Jr., brothers of the bride - elect,
and Richard Christofferson.
The wedding reception will be
held at the Knights of Columbus
hall from 1 to I o'clock. The
couple will live in Panama, where
Pfc. Bleckert is stationed.

speak at a public meeting at t
p.m. Monday, October 23 in the
Odd Fellows Temple.
Mrs. Rotgans -will show colored
slides and speak on the ways of
life in her land. Her visit ia being
sponsored by the Rebekahs of
Oregon to give the people of this
state an opportunity to learn more
about the conditions in Europe.
Included in the program will be
an exhibition by the drill team and
other entertainment is planned.

Order of the Eastern Star at Its
regular chapter meeting.

Oregon. In her honor, a degree
was given by Mr. and Mrs. Cor
dell Woodall, a song by Mrs. John
Lalicker, and a gift was presented
by Mrs. Austin Sanford, worthy
matron.

Ramona Club activities and an
nounced that a rummage sale
would be held by the club on Oct.
26 and 27. The next meeting of
the club will be a no-host luncheon

man's Society of Christian Serv

at the regular time, Wednesday
morning at 10:45 a.m.
