One of Ibe larger events of the
coming week will be the Salem
Junior Woman'i Club benefit fashion
show in the Oregon Room at Meier
and Frank's Monday night. Left to
right, above, ere Mrs. Maurice Cohen
and Mrs. Robert Gordon, co-chairmen
of the event,- and Mrs. Wilson Wilt
and Mrs. Elmer Winegar, two of the
junior club models. Autumn in Ore
gon is the theme of the show.

Visitors in the capital are Mrs. R. G. Johnson, of Tehran, Iran, her daughter, Mrs. Fred Erickson and children,
Paula and Ricky, of Charleston, S. C. They are guests at the home of Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. C. E. Illidge.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will leave this week to return to Iran by"wy of Australia and India. Mr. Johnson is in
charge of the agriculture program for the U. S. Government in Iran.

ghter of Colonel and Mrs. Philip
Allison,1 is living here with her
sons, Brandy and James, while
lieutenant Colonel Trussell is in
Korea with the army. Mrs. Trus
sell was welcomed at a tea for
which Mrs. Allison was hostess
on Tuesday.

Gray ladies from the Marion County Chapter, Am
erican Red Cross are in the limelight this week as
they are sponsoring a silver tea on Thursday at the
Fairmount Hill home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Woodry.
Purpose of the tea is to interest women in the Gray
Lady program and to provide, funds to further their
projects at the Oregon State Hospital. Pictured above,
left to right, are Mrs. Otis E. Van Blaricom, co-chairman
of the tea, Mrs. Horace McGee, chairman, and
Mrs. Woodry, at whose home the tea wili be held.
At the right are Mrs. Robert Needham, chairman of
e Gray Ladies for the Marion County Chapter,
American Red Cross, end Mrs. John Debacon, psychia
tric instructor and director of volunteers et the Ore
gon State Hospital.
