j Wilde, whose wedding to Joseph
Schaefer Saturday morning, was
one of the social events of the
early Fall, walked op the aisle
of St Mary's Catholic church with
her father, who gave her la mar
riage. The bride is the eldest ef
the sit daughters of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert T. Wilde of ML Angel and
the bridegroom is the sob of Mrs.
Arthur Schaefer and the late Mr.
Schaefer of Route 1, Molalla.
The Rev. Edward Spear, OSB
read the double ring vows and was
celebrant at the 10 o clock nuptial
high mass, for which Joseph
Schwab and Vincent Hammer,
cousins of the bridal pair, served.
Miss Helen Keber was the organist,
and St. Mary's choir, of which the
bride was a member, sang the
mass. Mrs. Al Schroeder and her
daughter, Louise, of Salem sang.
The bride wore traditional gown
ef bridal satis enhanced with hand-
clipped Rosepolnt lace. Scalloped
lace and seed pearls outlined the
portrait neckline of the long-sleeved
lace bodice and rosepoint formed
a peplum over the front of the
full, satin skirt and cascaded into
a -Jong court train. A crown of
seed pearls and lace cap held the
double fingertip veil illusion.
She carried a mother of pearl
missal, gift of her only brother,
Charles, which was topped with
a white orchid.

whits pearl rosary, first com
munion gift from her godmother,
Mrs. Alvin Saalfeld, and a lace
handerchief which was given to
her by her aunt. Mrs. Clyde Lind
sey, Oakdale, California.
The Feminise Attendants
. Miss Ruth Wilde in emerald

honor attendant and Mrs. Tony
Pfeiffer, Silverton, sister of the
bridegroom, and Miss Carol Wach
ter, cousin of the bride, were
bridesmaids and wore light gold
crystalette. Also wearing gold was
the Junior bridesmaid, Diane Wilde,
sister of the bride.
All the attendant's dresses were
designed with sabrina necklines
and deep V in the back. Empire
waistlines . and full intermission
length skirts. They wore cornets
of matching velvet leaves and car
ried basket bouquets filled with
gold Fujie chrysanthemums and
autumn leaves.
The best man was Donald Schae
fer, Woodburn, brother ef the
groom, and Norman Toepfer of
Woodburn. The ushers were Joseph
L. Wachter, uncle of the bride,
and Joseph Bernt, cousin of the
groom.
The bride's mother chose a win
ter green dress with leaf trim
and matching jacket She wore a
corsage . of bronze cymbidum
orchids. Mrs. Schaefer chose a
light blue suit with navy access
ories and lavender orchid corsage.
Dinner, Reception FalUw
A dinner and reception followed
in St. Mary's dining hall. Mrs.
Edward Schaecher was hostess
and Mrs. Joseph Wachter greeted
the guests.
Cutting the three-tired pillared
wedding cake were Mrs. Saalfeld
and the groom's sister-in-law, Mrs.
Don Schaefer. At the coffee urns
were Mrs. L. A. DeDoux and Miss
Mae Schaefer, aunts of the bride
and groom, assisted by Judy Wach
ter, cousin of the bride.
Assisting were the Misses Kath
leen Owings, Miss Carol Eder,
Carol Erpelding. Toni Williams,
Jeannette Wolf, Mary Beth Eberle,
Ruth Eder.
Arlene FessK-r, Rita Hauth,
Laura Schmitz, Donna Jean Wilde.
Marie Piatz, Marlene Diehl, and
Mrs. Richard Basl.
After a honeymoon to California,
the newlyweds will be at home
on the groom's farm, Route 1,
Molalla. For traveling the bride
selected a winter pink sheath dress,
matching hat and accessories and
a black cashmere coat.

to Be Shown at
Dinner Meeting
The October dinner meeting of
the Salem Christian Business 4
Professional Women's Council will
meet Tuesday, October at S: IS
p.m. at the Marion Hotel. Beth
Aebislur, area representative for
the council, will how color slides
of her recent trip to the Carib
bean. She visited the Bahamas,
Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and
Haiti in April this' year with a
Christian group sponsored by the
Boca Raton Bible Conference of
Florida. Her pictures reveal the
life of our neighbors to the South
and also the work of the mission
aries there.
Special music will be brought by
the Teacher's Trio Elinor Burton,
Jackie Davis, and Verna Kellar.
Miss Burton will also sing several
solo numbers.
The special feature will be pre
sented by Mrs. Jessup of Salem
who will display her collection of
colored glass ware which includes
amber, amethyst and cranberry
types of pressed glass.
All women art Invited and reser
vations should be called in to Mrs,
C. B. Abbott, or Mrs. Swartzley,
by Sunday.
Recent Graduates
First fall meeting of the Re
cent Graduates Group of AAl'W
will be held Monday night at the
home of Mrs, Dale A. Fitch, 4250
Shoreline ' Drive, at 8 p. m. The
meeting will be a social gather
ing, including instruction in playing
bridge for those desiring it and
a discussion of the group's plans
for the year. Those interested in
attending are asked to call the
chairman. Mrs. Richard Yocom, or
Mrs. Fitch before the meeting.
