Speak at Guild
St. John's Lutheran Church
Guild will hold its meeting on
Thursday evening at 8 p.m. in the
Fireside Room of the church.
Mrs William Fischer, who re
cently returned from a board of
directors meeting held in Terra
herd Home of the West, will
speak on the Home.
This home, which was opened
to its first occupants this past
June, now has an enrollment of
fifteen, with facilities for 36. Ap
plications now are on file for
over 250 applicants. These come
ii urn aii of ihe western slates,
some as far as Chicago En
rollees now come from Montana,
Washington nd California. Quite
a number of applications have
come from Oregon, and are now
being processed.
The board of directors at their
last meeting applied for a $100,
000 loan to hasten the erection
of a second wing in order that

Mrs. Fischer states "The Home

Miss Donna Gray
Weds Mr. Titgen
BUENA VISTA-An event of
late September was the wedding
of Miss Donna Eileen Gray,
dauRhtrr of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur
W. Gray of Ruena Vista and Mer
ritt Titgen, son of Leo Titgen of
Salem.
The young couple exchanged
their vows before a small group
of relatives and friends at the In
dependence Baptist church, with
the Rev. James A. Bell officiating.
Mrs. Marvin Wilson was brides
maid, and Mr. Wilson acted as
best man
For hrr wedding the bride chose
a princess style waltz dress o(
white lace over satin. Her shoul
der length veil was held in place
by a crown of seed pearls. She
carried a white Bible and pink
flowers.
Mrs. Gray chose for her daugh
ter s wedding a dark blue suit and
wore a white carnation corsage
Following the ceremony a re
eeplion was held at the Gray home
in Buena Vista. Mrs. John Rus
tin, sister of the bride, poured;
and another sister, Mrs Dave
Goble, cut the cake.
