itock market lapsed into dull ir
regularity today after rising three
sessions in a row.
- The volume of 1,550,000 shares
compared with 2,130,000 yesterday
and was the smallest in over a
week. The start of Jewish holidays
was one factor behind the low
turnover.
Of the 1.115 issues traded there
was practically an even breck be
tween the 432 advances and 435
declines. There were 25 new highs
for the year and 49 new lows.
The Associated Press Average
of 60 stocks dipped 40 rents to
$185.00, with the industrials down
20 cents, the rails down $1.00 and
the utilities down 10 cents.

today. Soybeans eased in view f
approach of a record breaking
harvest.

The only wheat future which did
not advance was July. Moisture in
parts of the Southwest in the past
two days created some profit tak
ing in this contract.
Touching off the buying in
wheat was some export business.
It wasn't much, but it was the
first since the new wheat export
policy went into effect Monday.
Formosa bought 350,000 bushels
and France inquired for 700,000
bushels.
