Fly fishing In the evening with blue upright is fair. Crane Prairie reservoir is still good, catching them trolling or still fish ing. Angler- are. -still catching blueharks in Culfus river with spinning outfits. Big Lava lake has , .picked up with good catches on trolling and still fishing? Some 10-pound fish have been taken at Klamath lake at Rocky Point on trolling. " Streams in the Klamath district ' are fair to poor. NORTHEAST y Angling in the high lakes area of the Wallowas is generally ex cellent. Limit catches are being rcportrd from Steamboat, Green Chimney, and Francis Takes. Lim its are also being taken on the Minam river near the North Mi riam. Some anglers are having difficulty taking golden trout in some of the higher lakes. Rait has produced the best re sults. Flies and spinning gear in - the other high lakes containing eastern brook trout are producing limits. Wallowa lake has been fair. Bait continues to produce a few large rainbow, Flies are pro duting nice catches of smaller fish on the fmnaha river. The Wallowa and Lostine rivers are improving with some nice catches being made. Fish lake in Raker county has been Rood. Lower valley streams are all lew due to irriga tion. Angling at Magone lake has been fair. All streams in Grant county are low except the John Day river which is holding up well. The south fork of the John Day has been fair with a few limits being reported. The main John Day and Desolation creek have produced some limits. SOCTHEAST Malheur county: Fair catches of channel catfish and some small mouth bass are being made in the Snake river. Bass and crappie fishing in Owyhee reservoir is slow. The Owyhee river below the dam is good for trout. Malheur reservqir continues to produce ejej cellent catches of trout. The north fork and middle fork of the Mal heur river are fair to good. The Little Malheur Is good for small rainbow. Beulah reservoir is poor. Anl elope -reservoir is poor to fair, trout averaging 9 inches. The south end of the county is good for small rainbow and cutthroats. Harney county: Fish lake con tinues to be good. The Blilien river is good. Delintment lake, Emigrant creek, and Silver creek are poor to fair. Trout and Willow creeks are good. Lake county: The Chewaucan river, Dairy creek, and Blue lake are fair for rainbow. Ana river produces an occasional good catch of trout. Deep and Camas are poor. Four of the little guys will augment the regular card, which will be an nounced later. This group of midgets is headed by the famous Lord Clayton Little brook, who has never appeared here before, but wr is claimed to be the "best all-around midget wrestler in the game."
