Grains Score
More Gains
CHICAGO UF1 Grains rang up
further gains on the Board of
Trade Wednesday; all wheat and
rye futures going to new seasonal
highs. '
Wheat closed to 1 cent higher,
corn Vl'e higher, oats unchanged
to higher, rye J'-34 higher,
soybeans l'i to I cents higher and
lard 3 to 33 cents a hundred
pounds higher. . -..
Wheat absorbed hedging pres
sure and profit aking without dif
ficulty in early dealings. Greece
was expected to be in the market
shortly lor a fairly largt quantity
of the bread (rain.
The distant July wheat future
was firm all day, even when other
contracts displayed easiness. The
territory in which most of the
1957 winter wheat crop will be
planted Is suffering from pro
longed dryness and very high
temperatures.
