MONTICELLO, Utah On - State experts began an investigation Tuesday to find out what kind of gas natural or bottled blew up with savage force that shat tered a packed cafe, tossed its patrons through the air likt bean bags and killed 15 persons. At least 2 persons were in jured. The blast occurred Monday night in the Lariat Cafe, a year- old brick and cinderblock build ing. Fifty or mora tourists, truck ers, construction workers and townspeople had crowded the place at the dinner hour. Suddenly there was what one victim cailed "a going-up feeling" and another described as "like pressure all around you." Ceiling and walls vanished as diners hurtled toward them and were flung on into the yard out tide the place. Then the roof crashed down. The wreckage did not burn. Only the rectangular cafe sign, jutting from its standard like a distress signal, stood over the spot Tuesday. Everything else was an ugly, broken mess of! wreckage strewn flat over the ground where the cafe had been.
