Alvick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alvick of Salem, took place on July 21 in Newport at the Sacred Heart Church. The 10 o'clock nuptial mass was performed by Father Louis Roda kowski. The church choir sang during the ceremony. For her wedding the bride wore a white oiganriy ballerina gowa and a fingertip veil with seed pearl headdress. She carried a white prayer book topped with red roses. Miss Barbara Char trey was the maid of honor' and bridesmaids era Miss Marie and Miss Susan DeFreese. They all wore pink or gandy dresses and carried red roses. Paul Meier was best man and ushers were Dean Penner and George Meitscholf. Reception Fallawt Mrs. DeFreese wore a navy gown with white accessories and Mrs; Alvick chose a light blue two-piece lace gown with match ing accessories. Their corsages were white carnations. At the reception following, Mrs. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Fred Schermer poured. Mrs. Marvin Waring cut the cake. For her wedding trip to San Francisco the bride wore a navy blue ensemble with white acces sories. The couple will live in Vancouver, Wash., where Mr. Al vick will teach at the Vancouver Junior High School. The bride graduated from Marylhurst College in June and Mr. Alvick is a grad uate of Portland University.
