KICK BAVARIAN CREAM

4 cups milk
H cup sugar
Nutmeg or cinnamon

1 tablespoon gelatin

hot water until rice is soft and the

Stir frequently. Add sugar, spice,
and vanilla. Soak tht gelatlnt in

fold in tht whites of eggs beaten

and chill. Serve with whipped

PUDDING
I egg yolks, beaten
1 cup milk

1 tablespoon flour
t teaspoon salt

cup cooked and mashed
dried fruit (prunes, raisins,

' 1 tablespoon melted butter
or margarine
Combine egg yolks with the milk,
sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla. Stir
ia tht rice, fruit, nuts, and butter
or margarine. Pour into a lightly
greased baking dun. and take ai
150 degrees F. (moderate oven)

1 cup liquid honey

coarsely grated

thoroughly after chocolate has

PEANUT BUTTER
FRUIT SAUCE

H teaspoon salt -
cup peanut putter '
14 cup raisins or chopped -candied
fruit .'
Mix sugar, corn syrup, wster.
and salt. Simmer 10 minutes. Cool
and add slowly to peanut butter,
stirring until well mixed. Stir in
tht raisins or candied fruit. Makes
about 1 cup.
SOUR CREAM SAUCE
to cup butter or margarine
' 1 cup confectioner's sugar
to teaspoon lemon Juice
Vt teaspoon vanilla
to cup sour cresm,
plain or whipped
Cream tht butter or margarine.
Add tht sugar slowly snd beat
well. Add lemon Juict and vanilla.
Beat in enough sour cresm to
mike tht sauce light and fluffy.
Makes about 1 cup.

S tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
' Vi teaspoon salt

1 cup milk
t teaspoon finely chopped
onion
3 cups chopped cooked lamb
1 egg
. 2 tablespoons water
IH cups dried sifted bread
crumbs
Melt butter, add flour, salt,
snd pepper and stir until smooth.
Add the miU gradually snd bring
to the boiling point, stirring con
stantly. Add onion and lamb.
Cool. Shape at desired. Roll in
crumbs, then la beaten egg dilut
ed with two ttblespoont cold
water and again in crumbs. , Fry
in deep hot tit (380) until brown
