Dallas attorney, was appointed tnis week to fill the newly created position of municipal judge. Mayor Ilollin S. Smith an nounced the appointment following city council action to fill the; post at its regular meeting Monday night. Administered on a part time basis, the position provides an" annual salary of $1200. The office of municipal judge was established by a charter amendment passed by voters in the May election. The amendment specifies that it be filled by an attorney. More than 50 guests, members of the Wolfer and Scholl families, were present to honor the couple. Two of the Scholls daughters were home, Miss Vein) a Scholl of Portland and Mrs. Frank Beer of Corvallis and her family. The third daughter. Mrs. Douglas Hole of Pocatello, Idaho, called during the day. The guests were from Corvallis. Salem, Woodburn, Oak Grove, . Tigard, Portland, Seattle and Hubbard. The aftcnoon was spent remi niscing and looking at. photos of many years ago. A game included efforts to guess identities in the photos. Falls City Park Worker Stricken By Heart Attack SUIrtman Newl Srrvlr FALLS CITY - William Poland, Falls City's park maintenance man, is recuperating at Bartell Hospital in Dallas following a heart attack. His condition Tuesday was reported as "improved." Poland was working alone in the park when the attack occurred i Friday morning. She is ex pected to remain in the hospital for several weeks. Her husband is a student at Yale University. With their two children, they were spending the summer here with relatives. Stevens Clan r Rallies; 66 : Answer Call Utrnua Mtvi Irrrlra NORTH HOWELL The North Howell Grange was the setting for the 66th annual reunion of the Ste vens clan, descendents of the Han sen and Levina Stevens pioneers wno crossed the plains in covered wagons in 1852 and settled in the North Howell area. Isaac' and Katherine Stevens were in charge of the gathering this year, and dinner was served to M relatives. Coming farthest was Elizabeth Price, who came by plane from Pomona, Calif. The program consisted of the fol lowing: Marimba solos Allen Brown, reading Nina House, piano solos Elizabeth Hadden, and talks by Guy, Mount Jr., Elizabeth Brown, Robert Ringo and others. The group sang "God Be With You", which has been sung at all 66 reunions. The next reunion will be held at the Dr. Guy Mount home on the Clackamas River.
