day at Lipman'i Cherry Room.
Members gathered at ten o'clock
for the business meeting at which
appointments of department and
division chairmen were approved.
Plans were made for a summer
meeting of the board of directors
to be held in Portland on August
22, the location to be selected at
a later date. The date for the fall
workshop was set for October 5,
this meeting also to be in Portland
with Mrs. James P. Porter as gen
eral chairman.

Drain, Oregon, where he will be
employed as a logger and truck
driver.

Turner Miss Millie Jean King,

enson, Wash., on June 9. The
bride attended Turner school.
They will leave this week for
Fort Old, where the groom is

Resignation of Miss Mildred
Lucille Glover, associate execu
tive director of the Salem YWCA,
has been received reports Mrt.
William Crothers. YWCA board
president. Effective September 1,
Miss Glover will become execu
tive director of the Vancouver,
Wash. YWCA.
Joining the local staff in Sep
tember. 1954. Miss Glover hat
been in charge of the young
adult program which includes the
scheduling and arranging o f
classes in addition to special pro
motion work. Miss Glover entered
YW work in 1M7 when she ac
cepted the post of executive
director of the YWCA in Great
Falls, Montana a position she held
until her move to Salem.
A native of Minnesota and a
former high school teacher, she
received her B.A. degree from
the State Teachers College, May
ville, North Dakota, and has tak
en additional courses at the Uni
versitiet of Minnesota, Montana
and Washington.
Miss Glover was the Salem
delegate to the triennial YWCA,
convention in New York in 1955
and previously has enriched her
YW background by attending
special conferences and seminars
in Rockford, Illinois and Asilo-
mar, California.

An outstanding program will be
offered to members attending the
forty-first annual convention of
the Oregon Music Teachers' As
sociation at the Congress Hotel in
Portland on Wednesday, June 27.
.General sections will be con
ducted by Pr. Egbert Oliver.
Portland State College; Melvin
Geist, Dean of the College of Mu
sic, Willamette University; and
Anna Ellis Parker, who has been
conducting a piano workshop at
St. Helen's Hall, Portland.

cert during the day.
The banquet program features
Dr. Spencer Moseley of the art
