Martin will be chairman for the event, during which private gardens at a num ber of Salem homes are opened ' lor public enjoyment. The following new officers were Installed at the meetinc Mrs. A. R Tarter, president: Miss Edith Sthryver, first vice president Mrs. Chester Chase, second vice president; Mrs. Wenonah Martin. secretary; Mrs. Richard Upjohn treasurer, and Mrs Estill L firiink. parliamentarian. Claud Mills of Portland showed colored sl'des of blooming bulbs and shrubs in various parts of Oregon. It was announced that Mrs. Louise Rrown and Mrs. Dean Cur tis will br delegates to the district convention at Ontario. June 1012. Eifst prize for a flower firranjr nicnl went to Mrs. Waller II Smith.
