The Presbyterian church in the
U.S.A. has established Industrial
relations institutes, in Pittsburgh
and Chicago. Dean Marshall Scott,
of the Chicago School, runs a year
round program for ministers and
seminary students of classes
and factory-Job experience.
Three years ago, the Methodist
Theological Seminary of Boston
University set up a similar sum
mer program, to get seminaries
and ministers acquainted with
labor management problems.
The American Lutheran Church
last year set up a Church-Industrial
Relations) Department, headed by
the Rev. .Theodore J. Pretzlalf, to
conduct seminars for ministers
and labor leaders across the coun

The National Council of Chur
: ches, for the last six years, has
held Church-Labor Sessions in con
Junction with National AFL-CIO
conventions.
All three major faiths are repre
sented in the National Religion
and Labor Foundation, which con
ducts regular sessions in many
cities. Its executive board also in
clude ranking labor figures such
as Walter Reuther, of the Auto
Workers; James B. Carey, of the
Electrical Workers, and A. Philip
Randolph, of the Sleeping Car
Porters.
