Several Salem Alpha XI Delta
alumnae were in Eugene last
weekend to attend the Province
XI convention on the University
of Ore ?on campus. A formal ban
quet at the Lugene hotel high
lighted the three day teuton.
Special gueitj were Mrs. Loren
U. Thompson, Portland, national
second vice-president, and Mrs.
Harry W. Kelly of Oakland,
Calif., national third vice-president.
Mrs. Vivian Pitman of Eugene
received the fraternity award for
the outstanding alumna In the
province. Approximately 100 dele
gates and viaitors from LaGrande,
North Bend, Portland, Salem,
Seattle, Corvallis, Albany, Spo
kane, Tacoma, Olympia and Eu
gene attended the convention.
New province officers were In
stalled Sunday followed by
brunch at the chapter houae. Mrs.
John Hann of Salem waa the out
going province treasurer.
