Loo of Portland, for merly of Salem, to Miss Nancy Halladay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Gabriel Halladay of Portland. A summer wedding is planned. Miss Halladay ia a graduate of Oregoa State College and a mem ber of Kappa Alpha Theta and Mortar Board. Lt. Lee, attended Oregon State before entering the service. He ia presently stationed in Germany. Miss Eeek Eagagemeat Mr. and Mrs. John Zeeb are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Arlyss Jean, to Stewart Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Wells, an of Salem. Attend the Bride Mrs. John Wesver, the matron of honor, wore a dusty pink taf feta gown and the bridesmaid, Miss Catherine Beaulaurier, wore a green crystallette dress. They carried sprays of msroon pompon chrysanthemums and greens. The Junior attendant, Miss Margaret Iaom, sister of the bride, wore a frostedu lime green erystsllette frock. She carried a miniature spray of maroon chrysanthemums and greens. Larry Kelly stood with Mr. Hanson as best man and ushers were George Cbilds of Portland and Dale Jayne of Estacads. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Isom selected a mauve lace gown with winter white accesso ries and corsage of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Hanson wore a garnet lace gown with winter white accessories. Her flowers were pink and white car nations. A reception followed in the social half. To Live la Cermany When the couple left on their wedding trip the new Mrs. Han son wore a tea-leaf green shan tung dress with brown accesso ries. The newlyweds will make their home in Bremerhaven, Germany, where Mr. Hanson is stationed with the U. S. Army. He is now home on leave and will return to Germany in Jan uary and in February will be Joined by his bride. Dinner Party for School Faculty The Richmond School faculty beld its annual Christmas dinner party at Chuck's Steakhoust Monday eve ning. An exchange of gifts and a report of Miss Cities visit to the Horace Mann School in Washington, D. C. highlighted the evening. Miss Gilles described the Horace Mann School aa a ten room school. She expressed surprise to find that the class load was unusually large in all rooms including two rooms that had two grades esch. The fifth grade children in the school were delighted to report hav ing aaen the picture of Oregon's teacher of the year. Miss Margaret Perrv. supervising teacher from Monmouth, who. with two of her students recently visited President Eisenhower on their trip east. A Caroling Party Mr. and Mrs. George Scaly were hosts for their neighbor hood's annual Christmas caroling party Wednesday night After an hour of caroling in the neighbor hood the group returned to the Scales home for refreshments. Edward Heenan, all of Salem, which took place on December 17. The Rev. Father Klauric, chap Iain at the air force base, officiat ed at the 10 o'clock nuptial mass. For her wedding the bride chose a white satin and lace gown with satin skirt terminating in a chapel train. The lace bodice was made with a rounded neckline and long sleeves. A white satin headdress held in place her tulle veil with lace trim. . She carried a bouquet of while roses tied with wide satin ribbon. Sergeant Groth gave the bride in marriage. Miss Mary Heenan was her sister-in-law's only attendant. She wore a pastel blue tulle and lace gown with bolero jacket of royal blue velvet and a royal blue vel vet pillbox hat. She. carried a bou quet of pink and 'white carnations. Airman Joseph Misuraco served as best man for Mr. Heenan. Parents of the couple were un able to go to Alaska for the cere mony.
