Modern Etiquette
, By BOBEBTA LIB
Q. Whea giving an informal
dinner, ian't it all right for the
hoetoea to aay, ."Just alt any
where you wish? .
A.' No; thii caa often lead to
confusion. It is too much like
playing the old game of "musi
cal chair." The hostess ihould
always designate where each
suest ahould ait.
Q Would it be all right for,
btide and bridegroom to hold
their reception in the new home
in which they are going to live?
A. This is quite all right, and
it also affords them a wonder
ful opportunity to ahow off their
new home to their relative, and
friends.
Q, la it proper tor a woman to
refer lo ber husband by hit last
nam, as, "Barnes" or "Smith,"
instead of aa "Dick" or "Bob"?
A. This sounds rather coarse
and Ill-bred to me.
