Beta Theta Pi, which Includes Courtney Kurtz and Jeff Walton, and members of Pi Beta Phi, such as JoAnn Hoover, Nancy Lidbeck, Judy Loucks, Julie Miller, Marilyn Mount and Nancy Payne, won the noise parade on Friday evening. Barbara Bacon, Jack Baker, Jan Cummings, Sharon Heider, Anne Heltzel, Sondra Jochimson, Sandi Pearson and Kaye Tomlin son were also noise-making as the parade wound its way to the site of the bonfire and students then migrated to the variety show. Liz Shafer helped Alpha Chi Omega win the sign contest and Sigma Nu was first in the men's division.
