ministration and is for the usual

The vacancy in the Siiverton
schools will be filled at once,
Milton Baum. high school princi
pal said Sunday. The board and
the faculty has been advised of
the appointment for several weeks,
Baum said, but have been await
ing definite orders. Through the
State department of vocational ed-
cultural instructor for, . Siiverton.
Baum added. . Hudson has been
in hopes, members of the board
said, that the orders would come
in sufficient time to give him an
opportunity to help the new in-1
structor , with details of taking
over in midterm.
Going with Mr. Hudson will be
his bride, 'Miss Eustelle Bau
man, to whom be will be married
in . Mt. -Angel oo Thanksgiving
Day? Miss Bauman is a teacher in
St. Mary's grade school , in Mt,

Brant, 4050 Beck avenue, received
a letter on Thursday November
17, through the U. S. Post Office
of Denver, , Colo., that had been
salvaged from the plane crash,
near . Denver, on November 1.
The letter, was sent td Mrs.
.Brant by her daughter, Mrs. Clif
ford Herman, under date of , Oc
tober 31, 1935 from Camp La-
Jeune. North Carolina, while the
envelope was badly mutilated the
address: was legible and the air
mail stamp and contents were in
tact. . -

at a Denver, Colorado hospital on
November 14. Sgt. Snyder is sta
tioned at the US Army base at
Colorado Springs. This is their

annual Hope Chest dance. Wednes
day evening, Nov 23. The dance
will be held at the VFW hall in
Willamina. The hope phest and
its contents will be won by those

was hospitalized. The meeting
scheduled for November 26 will
not be held because many mem
bers plan to attend the Rebeccas'

Hayesville Mrs. William
Brietzke, 2295 Claxtar Road, is
now at home after spending two
and a half months in-a local
Nursing Home and 18 days in the
hospital previous to that Her
condition is such that she is per
mitted visitors for only fifteen
minutes at a time, but her general
health is much improved. ,

of the death of Mrs. Minnie Silva,
mother of Mrs. Chester Carbough
on Boone Road. Mrs." Carbough
left on Friday morning to attend
