$179.00, the sixth straight record
high for the average. The industri
al component 1 hit a new high of
$253.20 with a gain of I $2.30. but
the railroads were down $1.00 and
utilities were tip 20 cents. I
Business was the best in a couple
of months at 2,580,000 shares. That
compares with 2,520,000 shares
traded Monday. H
